Health and Safety legislation requires that some premises have all equipment checked annually. Silver TV can carry out approved P.A.T. Testing on all electrical appliances.
P.A.T Testing includes cable and plug inspection - no more worries about hazards from dangerous flexes. It includes:
- Checking for correctly rated fuses to prevent overloading.
- Internal insulation and earthing of equipment testing to prevent potential shock hazard.
- Sticker issued and item information logged.
- Basic functionality is checked.
- All equipment whether earthed or double insulated (Class 1 or Class 2) which plugs into a 13A mains socket can be P.A.T. Tested.
Pre-Visit advice:
- Replace all mains plugs that don't have shrouded pins.
- Rectify any mains plug wiring faults ensuring that cable and cable clamp are properly fitted.
We can do small remedial repairs on-site (eg correctly wire plugs, fit correct fuse etc) rather than condemning an item as 'unsafe'.
