Freesat from the BBC and ITV

Freesat from the BBC is a free-to-air digital satellite television service which has been developed by the BBC and ITV. Freesat is funded 50/50 by ITV and the BBC, and is run on a not-for-profit basis. The service launched on May 6th 2008 and offers an alternative to Sky Digital and the Sky FreeSat service (which doesn't have any High Definition Channels and it is neccessary to get a Sky box and card to receive some of the channels). Access to 90+ TV Channels and 30+ Radio Channels. Click here for a table showing comparisons of the Sky and BBC/ITV services.

High Definition

Currently you can receive BBC HD and also ITV HD.  There is likely to be many more HD channels to in the future. Further information on HD www.bbc.co.uk/hd and www.itv.com/hd.

A PVR Version is available with the same sort of capability as Sky+ and the Freeview PVR's.

How can you get it?
The service is beamed from the Astra 28.2' satellites (the same as Sky Digital) and if you have a Sky digital dish simply change over to a new Freesat Box. If you don't have a dish we can easily install one for you. We have in stock standard BBC Freesat boxes, HD FreeSat Boxes and PVR Freesat Boxes. Call us for the latest offers on FreeSat.
